Printy Please??

{Chris Benz spring 2011}
Prints are HOT for spring! If you don't know this already then you obviously are not obsessed with fashion like myself. But, I figure that is why I am here. To fill you in on things like that ;) But before you start saying that you don't do prints, just hold on a second. Yes, these girls in the above photo may be wearing looks that are a little far out there for a normal lady living in the real world. But there are so many ways to wear prints. See my photos and explanations below for a few examples:

This vintage 1970's Diane Von Furstenberg floral jersey gown  is probably still not subtle enough for most ladies but I just had to post it! You have to admit that even though you might not wear it, it is still pretty fabulous.

If you typically don't like to wear prints and patterns then maybe you would rather sport it in an accessory. Such as in a scarf like this one above from Prova. Or maybe these bird song sunglasses sunglasses below from Anthropologie.
OR
you my choose to carry a print in a bag or clutch like this African quilt fold-over clutch from Echo (below).

Snake skin is another print we are seeing everywhere this spring. One of my favorite snake skin things are these neon snake skin pumps by Jimmy Choo. I love the fact that they are fuchsia and not your typical neutral snake skin. Don't get me wrong. The neutral snake skin is a necessity! (see below)

I am dying over these snake skin pumps by Lanvin. They are neutral enough to wear with everything, yet different enough to be interesting. We don't want to be boring now, do we ladies?
 This Gathered Hemlock Dress by Weston Wear for Anthropologie is probably one of my most favorite things this spring. As you can tell I am partial to floral patterns. Wearing flowers are much easier than growing them......for me anyway.....

You can also do a pretty print in an earring such as these elegant "Fleur Rouge" earrings from Laura's Style Boutique!

Here is how I wore my pretty print :) I chose a cute printed top from Talbots in a bright red print and paired it with a black pencil skirt and black knee high boots. I wore the wide red belt to modernize this look and I threw on a red v-neck merino wool cardigan because well...... it's still cold outside!

Below you will find some looks I created using prints. How will YOU wear prints this spring?

just remember.....
Print trends for Spring 2011 are:

1} Floral prints
2} Snake skin/animal prints
3} Tribal prints
