Let It Drape!

The Trend: Drape Dressing
The Subject: YOU
The Result: A most feminine and gorgeous look!

Drape dressing can be so gorgeous. The sad part is that many ladies underestimate the look! A lot of us feel that if we want to be sexy then we must wear our clothes skin tight. If you feel that the tighter the sweater the better, then you better think again. Drape dressing looks amazingly soft and feminine because it gently skims the body instead of hugging it showing every lump or bump. And lets face it. We all have a little lump or a bump that we wish we didn't have. Drape dressing will hide imperfections, but at the same time it won't look like you are trying to hide anything at all! Here are some or my favorite drape dresses that I just had to share with you:
{Rachel Zoe}
{Michael Kors}

{Haute Hippie}
{Lanvin}

{Nanette Lepore}

Drape style cardigans can also be very flattering as well as sexy.
This "Floating Stripes Cardigan" from Anthropologie is so pretty and cozy. I love all the colors.
This "Drifting Downstream" draping sweater vest is also from Anthropologie. As you  can see, a draping vest or cardigan can also be a beautiful bathing suit cover up!
What I wore:
Talbots front drape cardi
Talbots slub cotton scoop neck tee
Talbots side zip skinny cropped jeans
Silpada belt and ring
Clarks wedges

What I like about this look:
The best feature about this look is the fact that I am not only stylish, but I am comfortable. The words stylish and comfortable usually don't go together.........until now. The color of the tee and the cardigan is called caterpillar green. Usually green is a tough color for me to wear. I just happened to find my shade! I wore the skinny cropped jeans to balance out the look of the flowing cardigan. It just wouldn't have worked if I wore a pant with a wider leg. The flower belt added just a little more interest to an overall plain look. The wedge sandals gave me that little bit of  extra height that I needed to pull of the longer length of the cardigan.

What do you think of this look?
