Patent leather flats always remind me of the sweet, adorable and almost unbelievably talented Shirley Temple. I always hoped that slipping a pair of these on my feet would make me into the magical dancer that she was. Unfortunately it would take more work than just wearing the shoes to be as talented. But at least I felt that I was one quarter of the way there as long as my shoes were as shiny as Shirley's. I am not sure if Shirley even know's about the strong influence she has had over young ladies of every age in every era, but when it comes down to it, it's all about her patent leather shoes. What fancy feet she had!

Patent leather flats come in all kinds of different shapes and designs nowadays. Almost too many! It's so hard to choose just one!

These are just too cute!

don't you?)

And I just had to add in that BLOCH, designer of handmade dance shoes since 1932, is also on board with the whole "patent" theme. I adore this ad so much I just HAD to share.

I just love the black patent ballet flats you profiled. Beautiful...
I love the Tory Burch style but it took me forever and a day to stretch out my black patent Revas from Nordstrom...I will never go through that again...I found that Talbot's Janine Studded plaque ballet flat in black patent just as pretty and easier to stretch than the Tory Burch Reva. I spent under $40 for these Talbot's flats, and they are leather...very happy about my purchase.
WOW!! I love the ad, too, Laura! And I love your patents. Cute!
