My Inspiration: PRADA Spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection

Ok, so first I saw this page in my Harpers Bazaar magazine and it got me really excited. I don't know about you, but I am ready to see some COLOR. The models at the top center of the page from the Prada Spring 2011 fashion show look like they are ready to fly to someplace warm. Also I sense a bit of a Spanish/Mediterranean like edge within this collection. Maybe it's the hair and make up that bring that out for me. I can picture one of the models whipping out a black lace fan or a pair of castanets as she begins to dance!

This is the show {above} You will want to watch it. Let it inspire your style today as it did mine in the photos below.
Ok, so I should have been on my way to work, but I just has to show you this fabulous skirt! I typically wear this skirt in the spring when it is a bit warmer. It is a lightweight cotton. But I was so inspired by Prada's spring 2011 collection that I thought, why not wear it now?! I just wore a black turtleneck from Talbots, black tights(also Talbots), and my black Cole Haan microfiber boots to winter it up a bit. I added the white watch from Target and the silver Silpada earrings to Spring it up a bit. The skirt......Talbots.

This skirt is called "On the Rocks." {Talbots}
I just thought it looked kind of cool next to my "retro" razor Motorola and my poinsettia plant.
.This is a gorgeous vintage Calvin Klein sweater that was given to me by my sister. It is the softest cashmere I have ever felt! I like how the shoulders have been made. Kind of a small dolmen type sleeve. And the COLOR is fabulous! It was purchased in the early 80's I believe, at a boutique in downtown Bangor Maine called Nancy's. It is no longer there. We need to bring back the boutiques to downtown Bangor!

I melted over the shoulders in that sweater! That can never leave your wardrobe, I also love the sass in the first two skirt pictures!
